As of 30 September 2019, MYOB will no longer be providing features, patches, compliance updates or product support for AccountRight Classic (v19) solutions. This includes updates for any future Windows operating systems.
The product will still be able to be accessed and used even after they end support in September. The only difference is that if something goes wrong, or an Operating System upgrade impacts your product, or you require new tax tables in 2020, there won’t be any support or patches available from MYOB to fix the problem.
AccountRight Classic is not compatible for the ATO’s new Single Touch Payroll requirements, so if you are paying wages to staff you will need to upgrade to either the cloud based or newer desktop version of MYOB, or to another accounting program such as Xero or Quickbooks. If you don’t pay any wages to staff, you can keep using the program if you like.
